At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. What is the 2014 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $16,031 sits slightly below last year's $16,774.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can work against short-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. On the other hand, the Cayenne’s strong owner satisfaction and performance reputation can help support demand when you eventually list it. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you should be in a better position to protect value.

Should I buy a 2014 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.43% compared with last year.
