Used 2014 Nissan Sentra for Sale near Oklahoma

How much does the 2014 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 584 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2014 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.25/5 user rating and a 6.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Technology.

The Sentra’s main appeal is practical: it is described as surprisingly roomy and comfortable, with a roomy cabin and trunk that make it easy to live with as an everyday compact car. Its strengths are straightforward rather than flashy, and the expert review frames it as a sensible choice for buyers who want space, comfort, and efficiency without moving up to a larger vehicle.

The model’s 27.4% good or great deal share also suggests there are still some attractive listings in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sentra is presented as a practical, relatively fuel-efficient small car, and the expert review describes its quality and reliability as average at best. The powertrain is built around a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, and the CVT is described as fairly sophisticated and quiet in normal driving, which supports everyday dependability. Nissan also includes a useful tire-pressure aid on higher trims, and that kind of convenience can help with routine ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is not a standout model for refinement or durability confidence, so a careful inspection and maintenance history check matter more than usual.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Sentra?

At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with visible cosmetic wear. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the equipment on the car matches the trim you think you are buying.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Nissan offers the 2014 Sentra in basic S, popular SV, sporty SR and upscale SL trims. The base S is the most stripped-down version, and it is also the one excluded from the Bluetooth and USB setup that appears on higher versions.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. The S trim can be had with a 6-speed manual, while the other versions use a CVT that is tuned to maximize fuel economy.
• Safety package: The Sentra’s safety content includes a reversing camera in the Navigation Package, and the Easy Fill Tire Alert system is standard on SL and optional on SR. The rear disc brakes are tied to the Driver Package on SR and the Leather Package on SL.
• Infotainment: The screen measures 5.8 inches, and Bluetooth plus a USB port are not standard on the base S. NissanConnect features voice-recognition navigation, Bluetooth streaming audio, satellite radio, Internet radio, and connected services, but the system is not especially modern by current standards.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 30 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 34 mpg combined. Nissan also says the FE+ package raises highway mileage from 39 mpg to 40 mpg.

Which 2014 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2014 Nissan Sentra is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SR and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the least expensive path into the Sentra, but it is also the most basic. It is the only trim that can be had with the 6-speed manual, and it is excluded from the Bluetooth, USB, and premium audio upgrades that appear on higher trims. Choose it only if price matters most and you are comfortable with a stripped-down setup.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits above the base model without pushing all the way to the top. It can be paired with the Premium Package for the Bose audio system and the Navigation Package for added tech, making it a sensible middle ground if you want more convenience without paying for the SL.
• SR: This trim adds a sportier look and can be paired with the Driver Package, which brings rear disc brakes. It also can get the Premium Package, Navigation Package, and Easy Fill Tire Alert, so it is the right pick if you want a more feature-rich Sentra with a little extra visual flair.
• SL: This is the most upscale version and the one to buy if you want the most equipment. It gets Bluetooth and USB standard, can be paired with the Premium Package and Navigation Package, and includes Easy Fill Tire Alert as standard. It is the most complete Sentra here, though not necessarily the best value for every shopper.

The safety content also notes that rear disc brakes are tied to the Driver Package on SR and the Leather Package on SL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 584 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $6,716, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $6,960 sits slightly below last year's $6,961.

That flat pricing trend suggests the Sentra has been holding value in a stable but unspectacular way. For a future seller, that means you should not expect dramatic appreciation, but you also are not looking at a model that has been sliding sharply. Condition, mileage, and equipment will matter more than broad market movement when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2014 Nissan Sentra earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a three-star rating for front passenger protection in the frontal-impact test. The IIHS gives it Good ratings in all assessments except the small overlap frontal-impact test, where it receives a Poor rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety package includes a reversing camera in the Navigation Package, and Nissan’s Easy Fill Tire Alert system is standard on SL and optional on SR. The rear disc brakes are not universal; they are tied to the Driver Package on SR and the Leather Package on SL.

The small-overlap IIHS result is the main caution here, and it is worth taking seriously if you are shopping for a family car or want the strongest crash-performance profile possible.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It is a roomy and relatively fuel-efficient small car that emphasizes comfort and everyday usefulness over excitement.

The bottom line: If you want the Sentra’s roomy cabin, comfort, and efficiency at a stable price point, the 2014 is a reasonable place to shop. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-condition examples with clean history and the equipment you actually want, because the trim and package differences matter a lot on this car.
