CarGurus Analysis: 2014 Nissan 370Z

Summary
With 142 currently listed for sale and an average price of $17,885, 28.9% of 2014 Nissan 370Zs for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Nissan 370Z 4.6 / 5 stars.
60.6% of 2014 370Z models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan 370Z stands out as a compact, driver-focused sports car with a strong enthusiast following. It was built around a two-seat, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, and its 3.7-liter V6 delivered 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque through either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic. That formula gives the 370Z its appeal: it is quick, engaging, and intentionally simple in the way it delivers performance.
What also makes the 2014 Nissan 370Z distinctive is its blend of style, lightness, and usable equipment. The car used aluminum body and structural pieces to help reduce weight, and its timeless exterior design has long been part of its charm. The cabin was tight, but the base model still included features such as keyless entry and push-button start, cruise control, automatic climate controls, and an auxiliary input jack. The Touring trim added heated power seats, Bluetooth phone connectivity, aluminum sport pedals, and a Bose audio system, while the Sport Package brought 19-inch forged alloy wheels, sport brakes, SynchroRev Match on the manual, and a viscous limited-slip differential.
At the same time, the 2014 Nissan 370Z was not trying to be a modern tech showcase. The source notes that technology was not its strong suit, and it lacked Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also had huge blind spots and excessive road and engine noise. Even so, for buyers who want a reliable, attractive, and highly modifiable sports car, the 2014 370Z remains compelling because it prioritizes driving enjoyment over convenience.

This is my second 370Z. First car was damaged beyond repair in a T-bone accident in the drivers side door. Car saved my life. Only whip lash. Side airbags went off meaning I was hit by other car that had to be moving plus 35mph. Very safe car! I bought another. Love the sport touring. Interior is loud. Car performance is quick for there are faster cars out there, but such a joy to drive. For all the things I didnt like about this car I was still drawn to buy it again for all the reasons I love this car. For a weekend get away with your partner there really isnt a much better ride for an enjoyable time. Super reliable.

The car is small on cargo as well as occupant room (2 seats). Its great as a second car or an occasional car. Very good looks with upgrade trim levels. Gas mileage is on average. Burns premium/high test gasoline. There are a few interior details that can be improved and Im sure with the new/newer model years have been addressed.

VERY under rated. Best car I have ever owned, and I have had many (including a 1973 240z). Great acceleration, handling, etc. Highly recommend.

I love the car, its a smooth ride and I feel like there is enough space for me and another friend. The car is very modifiable and the engine is a beauty, it is a V6 though so tread carefully on that gas pedal . The car is beautiful inside and out.

How much does the 2014 Nissan 370Z cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $17,819 |
| Year-Round Low | $17,151 |
| Year-Round High | $19,852 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $19,132 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −6.86% |
Prices have softened 6.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 142 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you buy.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z a good car?
Yes — the 2014 Nissan 370Z earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, great acceleration, and fun driving experience, and many also like its stylish design and modification potential. If you want a compact, driver-focused sports car with a two-seat layout and a clear emphasis on engagement over convenience, this model year fits that use case well. With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback also points to a car people can count on, with reliability and dependable ownership appeal coming through in the way shoppers describe it. The same feedback highlights a trouble-free, long-term ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value a simple sports-car formula. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about the car’s core character and more about finding one that has been maintained well over time.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan 370Z?
At 61.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that matter most on a sports car, since those details can tell you more than mileage alone.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan 370Z?
This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.
- Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 61.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $17,151, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan 370Z's resale value?
The current average of $17,819 sits slightly below last year's $19,132.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A softer current average can make it harder to recover as much value as a seller as you might have a year ago, especially if your car has average mileage or visible wear. On the other hand, a well-kept example can still stand out because shoppers in this segment tend to respond to condition and enthusiast appeal.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 61.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want the 370Z formula at a lower current price, the 2014 is a sensible place to shop because the market has softened and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
