CarGurus Analysis: 2014 Nissan 370Z

Summary
With 137 currently listed for sale and an average price of $17,249, 27.7% of 2014 Nissan 370Z listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Nissan 370Z 4.6 / 5 stars.
56.2% of 2014 Nissan 370Z listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan 370Z stands out as a compact, driver-focused sports car with a strong enthusiast identity. It has sleek, sporty styling, a tight cockpit, and a reputation for being a blast to drive. It also carries the appeal of the Z-car nameplate, which has long been associated with affordable performance and a loyal following.
For this model year, the 370Z’s core appeal is its straightforward performance hardware and usable enthusiast features. It uses a 3.7-liter V6 with 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, and it can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic. Buyers who want a more engaging setup can also appreciate the available SynchroRev Match on the manual, while the Sport Package adds 19-inch forged alloy wheels, sport brakes, and a viscous limited-slip differential. The car’s aluminum body components and smaller dimensions also helped reduce weight, reinforcing its nimble character.
At the same time, the 2014 Nissan 370Z is not trying to be a modern tech showcase. The source notes that technology was not its strong suit, and it lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with drawbacks that matter in daily use, including huge blind spots and excessive road and engine noise. Even so, for buyers who value styling, reliability, and an old-school sports car feel over convenience features, the 2014 370Z remains an appealing choice.

This is my second 370Z. First car was damaged beyond repair in a T-bone accident in the drivers side door. Car saved my life. Only whip lash. Side airbags went off meaning I was hit by other car that had to be moving plus 35mph. Very safe car! I bought another. Love the sport touring. Interior is loud. Car performance is quick for there are faster cars out there, but such a joy to drive. For all the things I didnt like about this car I was still drawn to buy it again for all the reasons I love this car. For a weekend get away with your partner there really isnt a much better ride for an enjoyable time. Super reliable.

The car is small on cargo as well as occupant room (2 seats). Its great as a second car or an occasional car. Very good looks with upgrade trim levels. Gas mileage is on average. Burns premium/high test gasoline. There are a few interior details that can be improved and Im sure with the new/newer model years have been addressed.

VERY under rated. Best car I have ever owned, and I have had many (including a 1973 240z). Great acceleration, handling, etc. Highly recommend.

I love the car, its a smooth ride and I feel like there is enough space for me and another friend. The car is very modifiable and the engine is a beauty, it is a V6 though so tread carefully on that gas pedal . The car is beautiful inside and out.

How much does the 2014 Nissan 370Z cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $17,279 |
| Year-Round Low | $17,151 |
| Year-Round High | $19,852 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $18,161 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −4.86% |
Prices have softened 4.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 134 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z a good car?
Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, great acceleration, and fun driving experience, and they also like the stylish design and modification potential. For you, that means this model fits best if you want a compact, driver-focused sports car with an enthusiast feel rather than a convenience-first daily driver. With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Nissan 370Z reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, with shoppers describing the car as dependable and enjoyable over time. That matters if you want a used sports car you can count on, especially one with a loyal following and a straightforward performance setup. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s character and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan 370Z?
At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard, since condition matters more than mileage alone on a sports car like this. Focus on signs of wear, repair quality, and overall maintenance consistency so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been neglected.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan 370Z?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 56.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $17,151, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan 370Z's resale value?
The current average of $17,279 sits slightly below last year's $18,161.
That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the car more attractive to buyers but a little less favorable if you are planning to sell soon. If you own one, strong condition and clean history will matter more because shoppers are likely to compare carefully within a relatively small enthusiast market. A well-kept example should still hold interest, but you should expect resale to depend heavily on presentation, maintenance records, and overall condition.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the classic 370Z formula and you find a clean, well-priced example, the 2014 is a solid place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained car rather than the newest badge, since condition and history will likely matter more than small year-to-year differences.
