Is the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2014 Range Rover stands out as a luxury SUV that still takes its off-road mission seriously, with full-time four-wheel drive, a low range, and an updated terrain response system. It also brings a more polished cabin, a roomy feel, and a blend of road comfort and capability that fits buyers who want prestige without giving up real utility. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2014 Range Rover is still a complex vehicle, and the source material notes that maintenance can be costly. Reliability remains a concern, so you should expect ownership to reward careful upkeep more than casual buying. For used shoppers, the biggest long-term risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example that needs expensive repairs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Land Rover Range Rover?

At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on signs of deferred maintenance, since this model is described as complex and costly to maintain. Pay close attention to overall condition and service documentation, because those details matter more here than they do on simpler SUVs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Land Rover Range Rover?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 289 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $16,562 sits slightly below last year's $18,810.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale more sensitive to condition and maintenance history. If you buy well and keep the vehicle documented, you may be better positioned than a seller of a neglected example. Because this model attracts buyers who value capability and luxury together, clean examples should still draw interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

You should buy the 2014 if you want the Range Rover’s blend of luxury, comfort, and real off-road capability, especially if you find one with strong service records and clean history. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2014 remains a compelling choice when condition and documentation are strong.
