How much does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 372 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you decide.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson stands out as a compact SUV with a more distinctive exterior, a more purposeful interior, and more rear legroom than before. It also emphasizes sharper handling, so you get a small SUV that feels more engaging than many rivals while still offering useful space and a well-rounded equipment list.

For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a balanced used SUV with value-oriented appeal, improved design, and practical everyday usability. The model’s broader trim and drivetrain mix also gives you more flexibility to match features and traction to your needs.

29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson’s appeal is tied to its value story, long warranty, and generally solid resale, which helped make it a practical used choice. It is not positioned as the most luxurious or powerful compact SUV in its class, but the overall package is described as well-rounded and easy to live with.

For long-term ownership, you should still expect the usual used-SUV risk tradeoff: condition, maintenance history, and prior use will matter a lot more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing looks especially appealing on price. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and overall maintenance quality so you can separate a clean example from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 372 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,566, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $8,566 sits slightly below last year's $9,370.

That tells you the market has moved in a buyer-friendly direction, which can help you negotiate now but may also mean a softer resale outlook later if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that downward trend. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying today, because the current market suggests values have already adjusted lower.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.59% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a sensible choice if you want the updated styling, improved interior feel, and broader trim mix of this generation at a softer market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
