How much does the 2014 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices are up 1.31% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,241 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the roomy interior, good fuel economy, and reliability, and the available AWD and backup camera features add to its everyday usefulness. In practical terms, this is the kind of compact crossover that fits well if you want space, efficiency, and an easy-to-live-with setup. With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a vehicle that many drivers feel comfortable counting on over time. That said, some owners mention transmission maintenance concerns, so used buyers should pay close attention to service history and long-term upkeep before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda CR-V?

At 56.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and signs of deferred repairs rather than price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,241 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.31% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 56.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,138, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $12,737 sits slightly above last year's $12,572.

That modest increase suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year. If you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should have a decent chance of preserving value better than with a less in-demand used SUV. Strong demand for practical, efficient crossovers helps support pricing, especially when the vehicle has a clean history and solid maintenance records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.31% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,224, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $12,737 average.
• It brings a more polished driving feel and updated changes that make it better than ever.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year improvements, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
