How much does the 2015 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,805 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating and 8.5/10 expert rating both point to a strong overall ownership experience. The CR-V’s appeal centers on practicality, reliability, and efficiency in a roomy package, and the owner feedback backs that up with praise for the smooth ride, spacious trunk, and solid build quality. It also fits buyers who want an everyday SUV that is easy to live with and broadly useful. With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, solid build quality, and the kind of dependable ownership experience you can count on over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes long-term dependability, and the cost-effectiveness discussion notes free roadside assistance for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure a specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition, since the market includes a sizable number of vehicles with accident history. Pay close attention to signs of uneven wear, repair quality, and any issues that could affect long-term ownership.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds a power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, a forward-collision mitigation system, a navigation system, and 18-inch aluminum wheels, while the lower trims are more basic in equipment.
• Powertrain: The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission and is described as smooth and peppy, with more torque than the previous engine.
• Safety package: The available safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking, with some features reserved for the Touring trim.
• Infotainment: The CR-V uses a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth audio streaming, text-messaging support, a USB port, an auxiliary audio input jack, and HondaLink smartphone integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation notes an average of 24.8 mpg during highway driving in an all-wheel-drive Touring model, and the vehicle is described as more fuel-efficient for 2015.

Which 2015 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the CR-V lineup and are comfortable with a simpler equipment set.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday convenience and features without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and equipment.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the most advanced convenience and safety features, including adaptive cruise control and forward-collision mitigation.

The Touring trim is the one with the most advanced safety equipment, while the lower trims are more straightforward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,805 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,525, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $14,224 sits slightly above last year's $14,099.

That small increase suggests the CR-V has held value fairly well rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest and a market that is not overly volatile. The model’s reputation for practicality and dependability also supports demand when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2015 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for rollover resistance and front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision and five-star ratings in the other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking. Some of the more advanced features are reserved for the Touring trim, and the expert evaluation notes that LaneWatch can be complicated to use and that the lane-departure warning system can be intrusive.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 model year adds revised styling, updated suspension tuning, a more fuel-efficient engine, and more available safety technology.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded CR-V with updated styling and a good mix of practicality, comfort, and safety tech. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years, but the 2015 stands out as a balanced pick with steady pricing and broad appeal.

How does the 2015 Honda CR-V compare to the 2015 Toyota RAV4?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda CR-V 8.5/10 and the 2015 Toyota RAV4 7.3/10. The CR-V comes across as the more polished and better-rounded choice, with stronger expert ratings, better fuel economy, and more listings to shop from. The RAV4 is close on deal share, but the CR-V has the edge in overall value, owner satisfaction, and market depth.
