How much does the 2014 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 1.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,989 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of cars to compare on price, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Honda Accord earns a 4.94/5 user rating and a 9.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and performance, along with the smooth ride and comfortable interior. The review summary also points to strong safety features and a well-rounded value proposition, which fits the Accord’s role as a practical sedan that still feels upscale inside.

With the Accord positioned as a sedan that feels more premium than its price suggests, it makes sense if you want a well-executed daily driver rather than something flashy. 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.94/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary highlights reliability, and the expert cost-effectiveness notes say both J.D. Power and Consumer Reports expect better-than-average long-term dependability and reliability. That lines up with the Accord’s reputation for being a car you can count on over time.

The expert review also points to low ownership costs, which helps reinforce the case for long-term dependability. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the Accord’s core durability and more about how well a specific example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Accord?

At 48.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or multiple owners. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the car’s equipment and driving feel match the trim level you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the simplest starting point, while the Sport adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a better sound system, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof, while the EX-L adds leather, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system with touchscreen display, satellite radio, HondaLink, and more safety tech. The Touring adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights.
• Powertrain: Most models use a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual in LX, Sport, and EX trims. The Sport version raises output to 189 hp. The EX-L can be optioned with a 278-hp 3.5-liter V6, and the Touring gets that V6 standard.
• Safety package: The Accord includes SmartVent side impact airbags, a reversing camera, and ACE II body structure as standard. LaneWatch comes on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. Rear parking assist sensors can be installed by dealers.
• Infotainment: The EX-L brings a premium sound system with a touchscreen display, satellite radio, and HondaLink connected services. The review also notes that lower trims cover the basics well, but more advanced tech is concentrated higher up the lineup.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder models are rated from 24 mpg city to 36 mpg highway, depending on transmission choice. The V6 returns 21/34 mpg, with a combined rating of 26 mpg.

Which 2014 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point, and the review describes it as equipped with everything you need and nothing you don’t. It makes the most sense if you want the Accord’s core strengths without paying for extras.
• Sport: This trim adds a more aggressive look, bigger wheels, and a power driver’s seat, but the ride is firmer. It suits you if style matters more than comfort, though it is not the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds SmartEntry, a power sunroof, LaneWatch, and a better sound system without jumping all the way to luxury pricing.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience before the price climbs sharply. Leather, heated seats, memory settings, HondaLink, and the upgraded audio setup make it the most complete mainstream trim.
• Touring: This is the top trim and adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights. It makes sense if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is strongest on EX-L and Touring, where Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,989 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,412, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $11,880 sits slightly below last year's $12,071.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more buyer-friendly, which can work against a seller trying to maximize return. Still, the Accord’s broad appeal and strong reputation help support demand, especially for clean, well-maintained examples.

If you own one in good condition, you may still have an advantage over less trusted midsize sedans because shoppers tend to value the Accord’s reputation for reliability and efficiency. A well-kept car with strong records should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.94/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord safe?

The 2014 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick + from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Accord comes standard with SmartVent side impact airbags, a reversing camera, and ACE II body structure. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are standard on EX-L and Touring trims. Rear parking assist sensors are available through dealers.

One caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims, so you may need to shop carefully if safety tech is a priority.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.94/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 stands out for its upscale cabin feel and strong expert praise for overall execution.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,177, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,880 average.
• It is described as an excellent choice among midsize sedans with broad appeal and dependable service.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the smarter buy because pricing has softened and the model still delivers strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch for a newer example and want to pay more for a slightly fresher model year, the 2015 is the secondary path.
