How much does the 2014 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 3.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 407 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2014 GMC Yukon XL can be a strong fit if you want a full-size SUV built around space, strength, and traditional truck-based capability, and the user rating is 3.5/5. Its long-wheelbase design gives you more room for passengers and cargo than the regular Yukon, and the lineup offers a mix of utility-focused and more upscale trims depending on how you plan to use it.

The tradeoff is that its truck-based layout brings a less refined ride than a car-based crossover, and its size can feel cumbersome in tighter spaces. If you need a spacious third row, substantial cargo room, and body-on-frame durability for family duty or heavier hauling, it makes sense to keep it on your shortlist. 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2014 GMC Yukon XL is built around a traditional truck-based layout with a solid rear axle, which supports its durability-focused character. It was designed to handle people-moving and hauling duties with a straightforward full-size SUV setup, and that construction is part of what gives it its appeal.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, body-on-frame SUV can become expensive to keep in top shape if prior use was heavy or maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 GMC Yukon XL?

At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on the suspension, brakes, tires, and signs of uneven wear, since a large SUV like this can hide expensive wear-and-tear if it has been used hard. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you plan to use it for family travel or towing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 407 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,618, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $11,617 sits slightly below last year's $12,048.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can work against you if you're planning to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be able to limit depreciation pressure, but a future seller should expect value to depend heavily on mileage, condition, and maintenance history. For you, that means the best purchase is one that leaves enough room for resale risk later.

Should I buy a 2014 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.58% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the 2014 GMC Yukon XL’s space, truck-based capability, and straightforward full-size SUV character, this year makes sense as a primary target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a better-equipped or better-priced example gives you more value for the money.
