There are 456 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Ford Expedition earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spaciousness, value for money, strong performance, and comfort, and those themes line up well with its role as a full-size family hauler for people and cargo. If you want a roomy three-row SUV with long-trip comfort and capability, this model year fits that use case well. With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also highlights reliability, dependability, and capability, with owners saying they trust it for long trips and everyday use. That said, some shoppers note high mileage and wear on older examples, so long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how well a specific used vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Ford Expedition?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage listings, because condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone. Focus your attention on signs of wear, repair quality, and whether the vehicle still feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Ford Expedition?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 456 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,060, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $10,209 sits slightly below last year's $10,564.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved a bit in buyers’ favor, which can limit upside for a future seller if values continue to drift. On the other hand, a well-kept example with strong history and desirable equipment should still attract attention from shoppers who want a large, capable SUV without paying new-SUV money. Condition and mileage will matter a lot when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $11,369, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $10,209 average.
• It switches to a more fuel-efficient EcoBoost V6.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger buy because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer-year powertrain change, the 2015 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize that update over upfront cost.
