How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 4.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 980 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is a solid fit if you want a full-size SUV with straightforward capability and family-friendly space, though it comes with some tradeoffs. Owners give it a 3.7/5 rating, and the recurring positives are its strong engine, spacious interior, and usefulness for families and long trips. The Tahoe’s three rows of seating, available seating for up to nine, and strong towing ability make it especially appealing if you need one vehicle to handle passengers and heavier-duty tasks. About 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe stands out as a full-size SUV that blends traditional truck-based capability with family-friendly utility. Owners generally appreciate its strong engine and spacious interior, and many describe it as a good choice for families and long trips. At the same time, some drivers mention occasional transmission issues, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the vehicle drives before committing. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you choose carefully, but a neglected example could become expensive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, suspension, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past collision or abuse issues. You should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a large SUV like this is best bought when it has been consistently cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 980 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,206, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $12,339 sits slightly below last year's $12,941.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the current trend means you should be realistic about appreciation and expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with accident history or deferred service.

Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tahoe makes sense if you want a straightforward full-size SUV with strong utility and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re price-sensitive, the softened market and decent deal share make this year worth considering, but you should still compare a few examples before choosing the best-maintained one.

How does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe compare to the 2014 GMC Yukon?

The Tahoe and Yukon are closely matched mechanically, so your decision often comes down to price and inventory. The Tahoe has a slightly lower average used price and more listings, which can make it easier for you to shop and negotiate. The Yukon has a slightly higher deal share and accident-free share, but the difference is small enough that condition and equipment should drive your final choice.
