How much does the 2014 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 6.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 364 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests you should expect a well-liked full-size luxury SUV with broad appeal. The overview points to a body-on-frame luxury SUV with rear-wheel drive, available all-wheel drive, standard and ESV versions, and a strong equipment list, so it fits buyers who want size, utility, and upscale features in one package. It also highlights tradeoffs you should weigh carefully: poor fuel economy, poor ride quality, and the possibility that it may not fit in your garage. 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a straightforward, substantial setup with a single 6.2-liter V8 and an eight-speed automatic, which can be appealing if you want a proven luxury-SUV formula. It also emphasizes the Escalade’s heavy-duty character and feature content rather than complexity for its own sake. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about the cost of maintaining a large, feature-rich SUV over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get too far into the process, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a shop that knows full-size luxury SUVs. Focus on condition details that matter most on a vehicle this large and well-equipped, including signs of prior body damage, wear from heavy use, and whether the features still operate as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,109, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $15,808 sits slightly below last year's $16,841.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid accident history, you should be in a better position to preserve value. Demand should remain tied to the Escalade’s size, luxury image, and feature set, but future resale will still depend heavily on condition and maintenance.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $19,370, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,808 average.
• It brings a redesign with stronger presence and broader desirability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the primary path because it sits well below the next year’s average price and still carries solid owner approval. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer redesign and a more premium-feeling statement vehicle, the 2015 is the secondary path for buyers who care more about image and freshness than upfront cost.
