How much does the 2014 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 5.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 837 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2014 BMW 5 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2014 BMW 5 Series earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction overall. Drivers commonly praise the smooth and comfortable ride, the performance, and the interior features. The model also stands out for its balance of luxury and performance, which makes it appealing if you want a refined daily driver with a driver-focused feel. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 BMW 5 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a mix of dependable ownership experiences and some concerns about durability, with reliability and trouble-free use not being universal strengths. Some owners appreciate the car’s long-term comfort and performance, while others mention issues that can affect confidence over time. For used buyers, that means ownership risk is manageable only if you verify condition carefully and avoid examples with unresolved maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 BMW 5 Series?

At 59.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who knows luxury sedans. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, electrical quirks, and evidence of deferred maintenance, since condition matters a lot on a car like this. If possible, compare several listings side by side so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that only looks attractive on price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 837 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,611, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $10,611 sits slightly below last year's $11,189.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the key is to buy a clean, well-maintained example so you preserve as much value as possible. Strong condition and documented care matter more when the market is already trending lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a good pick if you want a well-equipped luxury sedan and you can verify condition carefully. If your priority is the lowest possible purchase price, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than the cheapest one.
