Is the 2014 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2014 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on the Q5’s smooth ride and solid overall feel. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly, since condition and maintenance history can matter more than the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi Q5?

At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 693 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,687, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $9,770 sits slightly below last year's $10,445.

That tells you the market has moved down, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger hit later. A well-kept Q5 with strong demand and clean history should still be easier to move than a rough example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a good choice if you want a well-liked luxury SUV and can verify condition carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the model year alone.
