Great family SUV. Lots of cargo room and passenger comforts. Love the leather, roof rack and 4WD upgrades as well as SYNC and Bluetooth features. Drives nice, solid handling. Liked it so much, getting another one (2014-2015). Take one for a test drive!

I like everything about the Ford Explorer . My favorite is the technology , so far advanced compared to the competition . I read reviews on the MyFord touch that were negative . Maybe if you are like 80 years old and hate technology . If you are a tech head like me Ford is the only way to go ...

Loved this SUV. In fact, I'm getting another one (2014 or 2015)! Preferred to drive it over our second car, which is a sporty and fun-to-drive 300Z. Leather and 4WD a big plus but not "must haves". Like the back up camera and hands-free SYNC. All rear seats fold forward flat for maximum cargo room. Sterling gray metallic color hides dirt and weathers well.

overall great remodel of the explorer, rides much better than the older series from the conversion to a crossover line. It is roadtrip comfortable as well as off-road capable, meets my dual purpose needs perfectly. The quality of Ford's vehicle is better than I have ever seen before. Well done Ford!

Use this car for Law Enforcement . It handles really well. Has lots of space. Rides well. Rear visibility is poor due to the large pillars behind rear doors. Have not tested the off road capabilities. Stereo absolutely thumps! Love it. Only getting around 16 mpg average. It shifts smooth and stays fairly straight under hard acceleration. Overall I like it. I have put around 25,000 miles on it now and it is still doing really well. Like I said above, this car is used for police work but it is a regular explorer. I have been in a couple pursuits with it and it will hang with the other cars. 115-120 mph is about the top speed. It handles great. Have not had any problems. It does really well as a daily driver. I spend hours and hours in it. My initial pros and cons still stand. I would have expected better mpg. That is why the dept. Got this vehicle as opposed to the Expedition. I have an Expedition as a personal vehicle and get 15 mpg from it and it is the limited EL version. I have an update. At around 34,000 miles I noticed the paint bubbling around the lip of the hood. I took it to Ford and they fixed it under warranty. The body shop guys said it was a common problem because the hood and rear hatch were aluminum. I had some friends with the same year explorers and we checked theirs and they both also had the paint bubbling around the lip or edge on the front of the hood. Something to watch for.
