It was between the 2012 Nissan 370 Touring Roadster And the 2012 Chevy Camaro SS convertible, The Nissan WON !! I was very surprised with the Power and the handling of this car, and the comfort of the highly bolstered seats, It is a little hard to see out of when making lane changes but well worth it with all the horse power.. I have owned many cars, this car LITERALLY sticks to the Road Like Glue..and again, THE POWER and acceleration is stunning for a V-6 that gets me 30 mpg on the highway at cruising speeds... when i purchased this car, i had the money to buy a Corvette as well, I actually chose this car over the corvette and would do it again..

If you don't have a family and you are not millionaire, this car is 2nd to none overall performance for the price point. Its a head turner for all ages. Doesn't matter the kind of car enthusiast you are. Very balanced car through corners and more then enough straight line power to put a smile on anyone's face.

It's my second Z. They're just fun sexy amazing cars. They stand alone. Nothing is out there with the power and reliability, handling, or quality this has. Turns heads everywhere. Definitely a solid car. I would have a Z forever if I had a choice.

Having two Z's has given me the insight to help someone who is looking to buy one. This is a great car to commute to work if the drive is not that long, or as a second car. It's power delivery is very impressive and it your right foot is left down for too long you will soon notice you are going over 100mph with ease. The sound system is extremely impressive and will bump if you want it too. Nav is simple and easy ti use, bluetooth quality is excellent, and it's just an all around great car when you get used to it. A small anecdote for snow driving: My second z was lost due to fault on my behalf. I live in New England and the weather is not great here. I had only been here a year and I figured that the weather wouldn't be that bad, so I got another Z. All was fine and dandy, even when it started to get cold, I slapped on some blizzak's. I did notice though the even with the tires the car would slip more than I expected with snow tires. The VSD caught a few low speed tail wags but on a particular day where the road was untreated I was going about 25mph took a slight bend and the next thing I know the car is sideways and sliding towards a telephone poll. The car did not seem to lose speed at all and as much as I tried the throttle the car and pull out of the slide it was useless. Z = totaled. So in short, great car, you must make some comprises obviously, but on a warm night with no traffic there is much fun to be had with this car. Just don;t drive it in the snow.

This is one of the best cars i have ever owned. I love Nissan for keeping the spirit of the old 240sx alive with this car. First off i would like to mention that this car gives most other cars on the road a run for its money! I have smoked 5.0 off the line, and forget about turn ins; this cara turns on a dime. I love pushing this car to its very limits because it responds to well. The car rides on rails and in the rain it is tail happy when you truly hit the gas. Over all the car handles amazingly. The brakes are top notch and will stop on a dime. perfect sports car for any pure racing enthusiast!

“If it ain’t broke…” The 2012 Nissan 370Z Coupe continues its dominance in the U.S. sports-car market by sticking to that adage and making no substantive changes to the line for this model year. And that is a good thing. This car is designed for the sports-car enthusiast who doesn’t have deep pockets.

The 2012 370Z lineup consists of the Base trim, which includes power doors and locks and audio/cruise controls on the steering wheel; the Roadster, which adds a latch-free power convertible soft top that opens in seconds; the Touring, which sexes up the interior with leather-appointed heated seats, a digital Bose audio system with 8 speakers, XM radio and Bluetooth; the Touring Roadster, which merges the two; and, finally, the NISMO, which beefs up the already impressive Z specs to true sports-car power.

Let’s look under the hood: The Base, Roadster and Touring come with a 332-hp 3.7-liter V6 with 270 lb-ft of torque and the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The NISMO super-sizes these specs with 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. All trims are rear-wheel drive.

Package options are the Sports Package that adds SyncroRevMatch, allowing extremely smooth downshifting by matching the throttle to the engine RPM (standard in the NISMO), and the Navigation package, which has a Nissan HD Navigation System and USB audio port.

Outside, the Z is sleek, sporty and modern – just what you expect from a high-end vehicle. All trims have a slightly different color palate, but most include the stunning Monterey Blue and the more sinister Gun Metallic (the NISMO sticks to mainly blacks and whites). Arrowhead-shaped head- and taillights add to its splendor. The Base comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, and the Touring has the option to upgrade to 19-inch with the Sports Package. The NISMO comes with specialty 19-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels manufactured by RAYS.

The interior, with its dial-heavy dash, isn’t quite as stylish and the outside; however, people that like sporty cars will appreciate all the goodies to look at. The seats are comfortable enough, and the Roadster and NISMO add zazz, but road noise is still a problem (all those horses under the hood don’t help).

But in the performance department, the car is extremely agile, just like the race vehicle it aspires to be. The Base trim has been clocked at 0-60 in 5.2 seconds – not quite Speed Racer, but still plenty quick. The manual transmission boasts 18 mpg city/26 highway, with 19/26 for the automatic.

All safety features come standard on all trims and include antilock brakes, stability control and side/front curtain airbags.

While the Z model has achieved nearly iconic status, its lack of refreshing leaves some wanting more; it just doesn’t feel as new as it should. There is speculation that Japan’s tragic earthquake and tsunami have stalled innovation and that a refresh will occur next model year.
