4.7 Overall rating
(12 reviews)Its power and look, very comfortable, handling is excellent, the gas mileage is good for a 412 horse power car, 23.7 miles to the gallon. Wish it had the 373 gears to be a little quicker, but it is very fast with the 331's in it.
This is the beast that's taking on the world of high end sports cars. As fast on the quartermile as an M3, corners like a vette, with all the trim of a european car at a fraction of the cost. Its a tried and true musclecar with all the fun. Drawbacks are mostly construction issues (namely, the transmission), and some body sway, but not nearly as much as we've all come to expect from American autos.
Bought my 2011 GT Premium California Special (Automatic)about 6 weeks ago. Love it! Coming out of a C-6 Vette, so I wanted similar performance...pretty close, for sure! Only set out to purchase a GT Premium, but the California Special just felt even better and looked great in Torch Red. I was hooked the first test-drive block! Drove the new V-6 first, then the new V-8. Nice big step up and worth the extra $$. Very smooth on the highway, comfortable interior, and am learning the nuances of the high tech stuff such as Sync as I go! I wanted a car with super performance and super good looks...I got both. Of course, it is about as fun to drive as you can ask for! I've been through several tanks of gas, and I've always averaged over 20mpg. That's good considering the amount of new owner heavy foot! Buy one...you can't not like this car!!!
It's a great car that everyone loves, gets lots of attention and a fantastic value and after seeing the 2015 I am sure that this body style will be the most favorite of all the mustang's made. The Shelby wheels finish off the looks.
The 2011+ Ford Mustang GT is one of the best muscle cars you can get for under $30k. Fantastic style, amazing sound, and very good power. The front seats are quite comfortable even on long trips. Gas mileage is ok, I typically average 15 or 16 mpg with 70% city, 30% highway driving. Handling is much better than previous generations, but you can still tell that this is a heavy muscle car. It needs plenty of suspension work before it handles like a true sports car. Braking is really good even on the base package. With an upgraded set of pads, it really improves. Overall, this is a great car for the money.
