With sharp lines and a now classic body style, the heavy XC90 makes a fine appearance in any driveway. The exterior lines are clean and smooth. The vehicle is made with Volvo's attention to safety and the driver and front seat passenger will be very comfortable having a commanding view of the road. Things deteriorate rapidly however for the rear seat passengers in terms of comfort and disappear all together for the third row passengers who have to be either very small children (not particularly safe) or lower limb amputees such is the paucity of leg room. If you have any propensity towards claustrophobia you will NOT be able to ride in the middle or rear seats. They are simply too confining. As for appointments, the Volvo disappoints here entirely. At this price point only the very most expensive models will come with what is now standard equipment in higher end vehicles such as a back up camera and heated seating. Bottom Line: great for two + two kids because its safe.

Car is still going strong. I have had it for three years now. There have been some minor glitches - the ignition locked up on me, AM radio went out and seat adjustment become sporadic. All were still under warranty so no problem getting them fixed. Otherwise it runs great and I am still very happy with my Volvo.

This car is as big as I need it to be. It is the fastest SUV that I have ever driven at 265 horsepower. Because I am leasing the car, It's a little less expensive than buying a Volvo XC90.
