The HSE starts out with power features, 19-inch wheels, a navigation system, and sunroof, while the Supercharged adds 20-inch wheels, heated seats, satellite radio and DVD player, and the Dynamic Response System. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, parking sensors, and six airbags (including side curtain for both rows) augment the solid and safe reputation of the Land Rover. Customers and critics appreciate the easy handling and steering of the 2008 Range Rover Sport, admitting that it is fun to drive, while also retaining practicality for family use. Its offroad capability ranks high as does the DRS system. Low fuel economy (12/17 mpg) and somewhat limp acceleration are blamed on the heavy weight of the SUV. Other complaints focus on a somewhat harsh ride, difficult in operating the power rear hatch, and the need for premium fuel in both engines.
