Overview
The 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty may be an idea whose time hasn't quite come. The completely overhauled, better-than-ever version of this tougher, heavier contender in Ford's popular F-Series was scheduled for release with the 2007 model year (along with a new F-350 Super Duty as well) but ongoing issues with diesel supplier International Truck delayed that release.
Early press on the '08 F250 Super Duty was enthusiastic. Reviewers praised its power and heft, while marveling over its nimble roadworthiness. Everyone agreed that the rugged, rounded styling (inspired by the Tonka Concept truck that attracted so much positive attention in 2005) was sexy and impressive.
However, the actual release of the 2008 F250 Super Duty has been troubled. Ford recalled 37,000 of the 2008 Super Duty trucks because of the danger of tailpipe fires; this setback, after the already costly delay of the release, may be difficult for Ford to overcome.
Let's hope the guys in Dearborn get the bugs worked out soon; this is a great-looking, sturdy pickup that has lots of potential for success as a workhorse on farm, ranch, and job site. It just needs to...well, you know...not catch fire and all.

I'm in Arizona and the truck is California, but great price and features, invest a little on the 6.4 and I'd have a nice truck for years

we enjoyed this vehicle because of the power it provided us during our travel days. We found that this f250 diesel had the get up and go to get out of traffic situations and had plenty of power to climb hills of California and mountains of Western US. I would say the fuel mileage was the down side, but I found I would rather spend the fuel money and ride in a comfortable cabin.

Diesel trucks ROCK! Really powerful and pulls my horse trailer with no problem. Built like a tank and it's alot of fun to drive. Gas mileage kinda sucks, but for me it only gets driven on the weekends. Wasn't a big fan of leather until I got this truck! Very comfortable.

Not much I didn't like other than the cost of diesel but that is offset by the surprising 16 miles a gallon the truck gets. Very comfortable inside and the body has great lines; very versatile functionion as truck or family vehicle.
