Both engines are mated to a six-speed transmission with manual-shift control, and all three models come equipped with Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system. The V8-powered Q7 will tow 6600 pounds. Test drivers have praised the Audi Q7 for its build quality, on road manners and refinement, and handling abilities. The V8 offers strong acceleration for an SUV, zipping from 0 to 60 mph in just seven seconds. The price for this performance is paid in fuel efficiency, with the V8 in the mid-teens for mpg in mixed driving. Inside, noise intrusions are minimal, and driver's report great comfort regardless of surface. Audi's air suspension offers additional cushioning on rougher roads. Owners have found the Q7's dash layout to clean and functional, and build materials are of the finest quality.
