Overview
The number of S80 trims was cut in half for 2006 with the questionable discontinuation of the more exciting T6 trims. For this year the line was streamlined to two trims powered by the T5 engine, with All-Wheel Drive the difference between them. This was the final year of this S80's generation before a total redesign for 2007. Still there were some changes, mostly concerning standard equipment and options. A new color, Willow Green, was also introduced. Once again proving Volvo's commitment to safety, the 2006 S80 earned 5 stars in each NHTSA crash test: the Frontal Crash Test (driver front and passenger front), the Side Crash Test (front side and rear side), and the Rollover Test. i absolutely love this car. it runs amazingly, handles even better, superior control o the road and one of the safest cars to own. i felt safe and secure driving it everyday and never worried about the car failing me (electrical issues, brakes, engine issues etc). I've never had any problems with this car!

Amazing build quality, not as peppy as the S60 but still has very good performance. Very comfortable and fun to drive. Gas mileage is about the same as my Altima 2.5s. Still has 2yrs or 70 000kms warranty - bumper to bumper.

In driving this vehice, I was impressed with the comfort of the seats, whether in front or in back. The heated seats warm up quickly, making this an excellent car for winter driving. The vehicle is also very reliable. Safety is second to none.

Its the best car ever. It's an automatic, got loads of features including a butt warmer for those cold winter mornings. Performance is a gem - fast and nippy and is so much fun to drive. In fact, keep your stupid sports cars - this is the best.
