About 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT
Overview

Similar in almost every way to the 2005 edition of the Trailblazer SUV, the 2006 TrailBlazer EXT returns with its 4.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, rated at 291 horsepower (at 6,000 rpm!) with 277 lb-ft of torque.
The TrailBlazer EXT comfortably seats 7 (although some owners we spoke with disputed this claim) and is priced reasonably enough, between about $24,000-$31,000 dependent upon engine type, options and of course rear-wheel drive vs. 4-wheel drive.
Mileage is as you would expect it, a relatively low 15 mpg city/20 highway. Fans of the vehicle claim the cost of gas to be worth the quality of the ride.

I've mainly used this as commuter/family car for the past 6 years. No regrets buying it. Have occassionally towed 4-wheelers and small boat. Handles great towing and hardly noticed any difference. Rides smooth and great in the snow with traction control and 4WD. Loved the automatic 4WD to shift on the fly for snowy hills. This is the best of a truck and SUV in a slightly smaller package and beats any kind of car or minivan any day. Built on truck frame but rides smooth like a car. 7 passenger with great cargo space. 3rd row is comfortable with lots of leg room. Rear air and entertainment system. Low cost maintenance. Biggest bang for your buck in performance, reliability, and comfort.

Gas mileage is the biggest con for this SUV. I love the look, the ride, the room inside and all the luxury features it has. If gas mileage and the cost of gas were not an issue for me right now I would definitely keep it. I bought it for long term use.

Purchased this as a Certified Used Car about 2.5 years ago and have enjoyed the vehicle very much. It does a very good job in the snow and ice. Having the third seat to haul 2 additional people is very nice - in fact I have ridden in the third seat for a 3 hour trip and found it a better ride than the middle seat. Overall, I have enjoyed this SUV and had very few problems with it.
