The 2006 RSX remained almost the same as the 2005 RSX. Don't be fooled by the drop in horsepower, from 160 to 155 for the standard trim or 210 to 201 for the Type-S; the engine's horsepower is actually the same, but the adoption of new SAE (Society of Automobile Engineers) standards resulted in different ratings.
After a restyling in 2005, the 2006 kept the same exterior. The interior also remained the same, evoking the usual argument among drivers about whether the back seat is even worth having. It barely seats a child, let alone a full-grown adult.
Taller drivers love driving this car, citing the ample leg and headroom. Conversely, they don't like to sit in the back seat very much, as the sloped rear window gets in the way.
4.8 Overall rating
(75 reviews)perfect little car. 2 door, sharp looking, great gas mileage.
I love so many things about my car such as; the power it produces for being a 4 cylinder, the front bucket leather seats may be my favorite feature, the gas mileage is also great, but overall my favorite thing is the cars reliability. What I wish it had; all wheel drive, power and memory seats, heated seats, slightly better handling. But 1 reason it gets great gas mileage is that the car is light compared to other vehicles with better handling therefore; I would compromise a little of the fuel economy to gain slightly better handling.
Bought this car at the end of 06. No problems yet. 6000 miles. Really good gas mileage and love the Vtec.
I love my car! It's tons of fun to drive, especially on long trips. Unfortunately, it is not a fan of the crappy roads in the area as the suspension is very sensitive to potholes! This car has great handling and corners very well! Additionally, it has excellent acceleration for those moments when it is necessary to get away from the idiot drivers!
This is a great car, from the looks to the handling, the power is decent, but would've been more with a type-s. The car comes stock with racing- similar bucket seats and the interior is just as nice as the exterior. Great all-around car. The VTEC feeling is amazing when it kicks in.
