We, especially my wife, loves the smaller size of the Optima as compared to her old 1999 Buick Century. Although the ride was a bit smoother in the Buick (a plus for most mid size Buick sedans due to more weight) the Kia still holds it's own and seems to be quicker in cornering, accelerating, and stopping. Both vehicles were pretty close in accessories and amenities. However, the smaller Kia has a big advantage in parking and fuel consumption, which is to be expected. It is a pleasant change of pace!

This is a very nice mid size care with many nice features only found on very high end cars. Long trips are very comfortable and highway gas milage is good. low maintenance cost with very little issues, the only issue we have had is the security module has gone out causing the remotes not to work.
