Maintenance cost were fair, fuel economy was great, and it was a very dependable car. The biggest issue was the lack of cargo space, even though it is a small sedan, you can't fit hardly anything past a large suitcase in it.

Lets see, the 2.0L Zetec is a fuel efficient engine that really can crank out the RPM's. I get about 26 MPG City and 34-36 Highway and really can't bad talk the car, she takes a beating and keeps the heating. I would have to say that this is a family car, if it was an automatic, but since it is a stick shes just asking to be beat around. This winter will certainly be fun. Haven't had any major issues other than the lock cylinder going out on me but I hear thats a common problem with these little buggers. Over all shes another strong point of why I LOVE Ford now.

with my aftermarket intake she gets up pretty quick, and with the resonator cut off and the intake it sounds like a beast taken off, it is a great car but can be a little pricey if it hasn't been taken care of(if you aren't the first owner), like i have put almost $3,000 into it just on parts braking, and i paid $13,000 for it in 06 and i am jus getting done paying it off, but i love my focus it has gotten me out of some stuff and gotten me stuck in the middle of stuff too but all round if u have passion for cars like i do it tends to work itself out in the long run

The Focus is not a bad car, overall, but is in need of many improvements. It is a bit slow, and doesn't corner the greatest. I am slowly getting it to the next level in order to make it a mild performance machine. I have added a cold air intake, racing plugs/wires, and a header. Cams and a new fuel rail will soon follow.
