Reviewed a 2001 GMC SLE Crew Cab 4WD on Dec 24, 2009

It works. It plows, pulls, tows, hauls, offroads, anything I want it to. Havent had to many problems. It gets about 11 mpg with the 6.0l. I could use a bigger engine. It rides awesome for a 1 ton. The fiberglass sides kinda suck.

Reviewed a 2001 GMC SLE Crew Cab 4WD on Jul 23, 2012

The 8.1L coupled with the Allison transmission is a great combination...really wished GM had maintained this combination on the dually. I understand you can get it on a camper. Rumor I heard is that it was too good and mean time between failures was too high for GM to make any money on in the out years soo...they dropped it from production. (Can anyone confirm this rumor?)
