Used 2000 Mazda B-Series for Sale near Texas
For the 2000 model year, Mazda rejiggered its B-Series lineup of compact trucks a bit. The automaker added new SE and SX standard-cab models equipped with its 150-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine. An automatic transmission was added to the standard equipment list for the B4000 rear-wheel-drive model, while a CD player was standard on a wider range of B-Series trucks, including all B4000 models. Air conditioning was also available on more models, including all SE and TL (Troy Lee) trim packages.
The Troy Lee B-Series versions, named for a designer of extreme sports and racing equipment, came with fog lights, flared fenders, special alloy wheels, and body graphics. And high-end B4000 models received a trailer hitch as standard equipment.
In all, nearly 15 different versions of the B-Series trucks were available for 2000, including standard and extended cab models equipped with either two-wheel and four-wheel drive, and in either two-door or four-door versions. Engine choices included a 119-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 150-horsepower 3.0-liter V6, and a 160-horsepower, 4.0-liter V6. The standard transmission was a five-speed manual, while a five-speed automatic was standard on the B4000 SE with two-wheel drive. For most models, the five-speed automatic or a four-speed automatic were optional.
As you can tell from the information above, standard equipment varied widely across the line, but generally included power brakes with the anti-lock feature on the rear wheels, dual airbags, a lighted entry system, and intermittent windshield wipers. Other standard and optional equipment included air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, alloy wheels, and a CD player.
While drivers noted that light trucks from other automakers may have come with more powerful engines or better payload capabilities, it was hard to beat the value, durability, and reliability of the Mazda B-Series trucks. Mazda made many loyal fans with its trucks, who generally noted having few problems with their vehicles and appreciated the trucks' economical operation.

(8 reviews)tough tough tough can explain this truck. very fun to drive i look forward to making this lil truck work for me. great all around truck.. very dependable very comfortable, very strong. great lil truck. everyone needs a mazda b-series in their drive way. or like mine everyone needs one to play in the woods and in the mud. performance---great work truck- it is not a race car but if i wanted a race truck i would have built one build quality--very tough and durable no squeeks or rattles appearance--very sporty look very sleek look as well there are lil blind spots but nothing bad cost of ownership--i havent dumped any money into this truck. the only thing that i have done to it besides regular mantaince is i change the EGR valve but that is common. the only thing that some people wouldnt like is that it doesn't get the gas milage like some people think a midsized truck should get. it gets about 20 mpg but it is also a 4wd so i don't think that it is that bad. fun factor--there are not words to describe this trucks fun factor. with that i think that is sells itself. it is fun and great to know that i can work the hell out of this truck and know that it will take it. it is fun to drop it into 4wd and put it anywhere i want to go it is also fun to was off the mud and yuck and take this sporty lil truck out for a night on the town. would i recomend this truck...oh yea everyone needs one
Pretty much everything about this truck is wonderful. No major issues ever happened mechanically in 4 years of ownership. It's not hard on tires like many trucks are, and it's decent on gas. The motor is strong for being a 4-cylinder, and the cab is comfortable. Definitely a fun car to drive.
The 3.0L is a fine engine, but the FFV (E85) version does not run good on regular gas. My brother has the same one in his Taurus and it spark knocks on regular. Can get pricey having to put octane booster or running mid-grade or premium.
was only a 4x2...otherwise very nice and enjoyable ride.
The car was in terrible shape, sounded horrible. We didn’t even bother driving it.
