Reviewed a 1999 Ford 2 Dr Sport SUV on Feb 14, 2008
Ford did a good job on the 1999-2001 V8 Explorers and Mercury Mountaineers. V6 transmissions are a little weak if you work them hard, but the V8 powertrain as a whole is very strong and reliable.
