Drivers and reviewers alike praised its relative agility. And people looking for roomy interiors and big cargo space found what they sought in the 1999 Expedition, which seats 7 adults (9 with optional third-row seating), and has 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The one change Ford did make for the 1999 Expedition was to up the power in its Triton V-8 engines. Buyers could choose a 4.6 liter overhead cam V8 with 240 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque, or upgrade to a 5.4 liter version with 260 horsepower and a whopping 350 lb.-ft. of torque.
