Used 1995 Pontiac Grand Am 2 Dr SE Coupe for Sale near Lanoka Harbor, NJ

Probably the worst car I've ever owned, despite it having a factory CD player (that only sometimes worked). The V6 didn't have a lot of power despite its 3.1L displacement, and there was always at least three things wrong with it, whether it was electrical, mechanical, or cosmetic.

It's a pretty strong car when you are not fixing it. It seems like it won't go 3 months without something going wrong. The 3.1L engine is notorious for common problems and being difficult to work on. I replaced the transmission at about 125,000 miles and then the motor at about 142,000 miles. Even a simple task like changing the spark plugs requires taking out the motor mounts and tilting the entire engine forward because the spark plugs are in the back of the motor. It has a slick look to it though and like I said, it is a strong car when everything is working properly.

This is my 95 Grand am SE. i've had the car for just over one year now and i bought it because it runs good and had low miles (56,000) when i bought it. and i've put almost 40000 miles onto it. the car has lots of low end torque but i could have some more HP

2dr sport coupe. 2.3L L4, 3 speed w/ OD auto. Avg mpg - 25 3 speed makes for slower acceleration: first 2 gears are good, 3rd gear's power band spread too far and wide (Edit: Gears 1 and 2 are fine. 3rd and OD are a little off) 2.3 offers 150 hp and 155 ft-lbs.

if there was a car out there that you owned and loved until it broke this would be the one. It was reliable until it broke for the first time then it just went down hill from there. I wish it was easier to fix but it really does suck being the fact that it has a dual over head cam, and everything is driven by the timing.
