Impressive and unique Italian sedan. Not well known in the US. Rare, only 750 imported. Touch screen stereo controls, uncommon in the 90s. More horsepower than most BMWs and Mercedes of the time in it's model class. Pininfarina styling, shared with Ferarri, Fiat, Peugeot, and other popular European sports cars.

I`ve owned several Alfas & 2 164s, I loved them all & every car enthusiast NEEDS to own an Alfa at least once! 164 may not be as pretty as the pre 70s Alfas, but they are still beautiful cars compared to most of their equivalents & I can say hand on heart that they are the best built of all of them, yet they still have that wonderful Alfa feel. I thoroughly recomend the 164 & would happily own another.

Cambelt broke in less than an hour after purchase, repaired needed 4 valves, seats broke, rear screen cracked, lights failed on dark road first night out 100 ks from anywhere,cv popped out, then transmission started slipping.. Sold real Quick for not a lot.
