Is the 2019 Audi A5 Sportback reliable?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had any prior damage. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent repairs so you can separate a clean example from one that needs extra scrutiny.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi A5 Sportback?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 320 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,439, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Audi A5 Sportback's resale value?

The current average of $19,445 sits slightly below last year's $21,605.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays subdued. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average gives you more cushion against depreciation. Strong condition and a clean history matter more when the market is already pricing in a decline.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,662, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,445 average.
• It blends style, utility, and a premium feel in a distinctive five-door package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, deal availability, and owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still keeps the same basic appeal.
