Sat for 3 years without being started, 5 gallons of gas, a new battery and 8 new spark plugs and she fired right up. This car sat through 3 springs, summers, falls, and harsh northern michigan winters. Show me an american car that can sit for 3 years without being started once and fire up on the first try.

It has almost 230,000 miles on it and still runs like new!

with 230K, its still going strong. Original engine and transaxel, leather seats in front are a mess, sunroof opens but doesnt slide, and the air has a leak, and the rear windows are permanently closed, but it is a solid car, and I wouldnt be afraid to drive anywhere.

I have had my car for 8 months now. It has 146,000 miles on it and runs pretty good. I have had a couple issues like a leak in the power steering fluid and overheating which was fixed with a new temperature sensor. Sometimes it has a hard time kicking into gear. The seating is very comfortable unlike new cars today. I wish it had a bit more pickup, but it is a 1990. I think it's held up pretty well.

For 1990, the Nissan Maxima was restyled to appear sleeker and less boxy than the previous version. The new Maxima also boasted more horsepower. The 1990 Nissan Maxima came in two trims: the GXE and the sportier SE. The SE was available with a five-speed manual or automatic transmission, and the GXE was available only with the four-speed manual. Both shared a 3.0-liter, 160-horsepower V6. The fuel economy is about 19/26 mpg. Drivers liked the 1990 Nissan Maxima for a variety of reasons, including its legendary reliability, large array of amenities, comfortable seating, and well-designed instrument panel. Some drivers are not satisfied with the fuel economy, and some people have had problems with the transmission.
