This is my second Fiero. The first model I owned was the SE and my second and current model is the GT. I LOVE this car. For something this sporty that was produced in the mid 80's, this car handles like a true sports car that it is. I am very impressed with the GT over the SE. The power. stability and sturdeness is something my last Fiero couldn'nt touch. The 140 hp V6 engine is a dream to handle. I simply can't get enough of this car. It's fun to drive and it allows me to manuever in and out of traffic with the speed and swiftness I demand. Do it yourself maintenance on this car is inexpensive when serviced accordingly. The Fiero really is an unique car. I don't think I will ever get rid of this car unleess I am forced to by circumstance. Just remember this, Take Care of It and It Will Take Care of You.

My Fiero is absolutely amazing! For a 4 cylinder it gets a good 0-60 in 11.45 and 60-0 is about 4.5. The fact that it is a Mid-Engine car grants it superior handling compared to most other cars of its time. It needs some repairs, but mostly all cosmetic/restoration detailing. The interior needs a bit of help as well, but that will come as I get money to begin restoration. Having an L4 engine also gives it a pretty good advantage for fuel economy, getting about 25-30 MPG with a 10 (+/-) gallon tank it usually fills on less than 25 dollars. This car is absolutely one of the most fun things to drive, as it can take a suggested 45MPH corner at 75 and still handle like a dream, as long as you know how to drive with manual steering.

Stylish, experimental, innovative- the Pontiac Fiero started as a commuter car and evolved into a real sports car. With the same dimensions and specs as a Ferrari Dino, GM made a rare offering from 1984 to 1988- a cool, sleek, mid engine sports car for those on a budget. Purists complained it didn't perform like a Dino, but the maintenance costs and reliability made the Fiero more practical as a daily driver. The mid-engine V6 gave me many thrills going along the twisty mountain roads, but I had to be careful when it rained or snowed- the car would swap ends fast as lightning. While honing my driving skills, this car made me look good. Beautiful.

The 1985 Fiero was a sporty commuter. It wasnt until 1987, that it got the 5-speed Getrag transmission and it didnt receive the Lotus-style suspension and all the other upgrades until 1988, the final production year. There are several things that made THIS particular car special, the first is the owner, a very nice gentleman who appears to have taken care of his car and is a joy to work with, the second - he upgraded the suspension, the seats, the all-important engine has been remanufactured, new tires & alignment, and added a Viper alarm. But, the best thing is the replica/kit car body, resembling a Ferrari 308 GTB or a Pontiac Mera. Thats the sauce that makes this car special at an affordable price.
