Used 1981 Opel Rekord for Sale near Norwell, MA

This Rat-Rod-Ambulance might be one of my most remarkable rides. Mostly referred to as 'Kranki' (from 'Krankenwagen' - which means ambulance in German), this funky freakmobile joined my fleet in late 2001, as far as I recall. Due to it's hideous beige paint job, the vehicle required an extensive disfigurement. Two buckets of Hammerit anti-rust paint, 8 kg of quartz sand and 14 days later that whole thing looked way better - like a rolling tarmac runway. Through the years, we had lots of fun with this old banger and I hope it's still running out there somewhere. The rare ambulance conversion (I know of at least 3 units built) has been carried out by Christian Miesen coachbuilders of Bonn/ Germany, a company that built Mercedes-Benz ambulances most of the time.
