Great car with 318 engine 727 Torqueflite transmission 58k original miles.

She is a very nice crusier,won alot of trophies in my class,Love the fasttop,roomy,comfortable,turns like a dream and I get alot of thumps up.Braking is just fine,so-so acceleration,handles like a dream.Appearance: LOVE IT. Maintenance:LOW, Fun factor: HIGH she is a fun car to drive ,she loves the interstate.

With a 318 and 2 bbl, and a 727 auto trans, she could move pretty good. Even better when I put the 4 bbl on. Braking was fair at best, even with power brakes, the front brakes were drums. She could power slide quite well, and the old bias ply tires squeaked like nothing else. Even after ramping her a few dozen times, there were few rattles, leaks or poorly closing doors. Boxy, but nice looking. Immediately after getting the car from my dad, who had bought it new in 1968, I cut out and replaced the bottom of the rear quarter panels, using rivets, then applying bondo, primer and paint. looked pretty good for my first body work. Boy the good times I had in that car.

i love my fury III, it may not be the sportiest or the most economical ar even the best built car on the road but it has somthing that new cars just dont. it spacious and o so comfortable, its like driving a sofa. there are seat belts for 6 prople and you could probly fit 5 more in the trunk. the 318 engine is solid and with a new magnaflow exhaust it sounds fantastic. it is not at all inconspicuous however, everywhere i go i get noticed so there is no sneaking around. it is my daily driver and has all original paint and interrior and 79000 miles on the clock. it has never broken down or even hinted that it might, it has run out of gas before though. unlike a chevy parts arent incredibly cheap or easy to find. a new washer bottle is $65, and a new fuel sending unit nearly $100. about double what comperable GM parts are. the highway milage is respectable for a car (and engine) of its size. overall it is a fun car to own and drive if you have a place big enough to park it.
