Classic bait & switch. I contacted the dealership via the CarGurus app Saturday night on 11/15 around 7pm. I was contacted by an AI chatbot asking when I can come into look at the vehicle. I was then contacted, via email, by an employee who worked for the dealerships Internet team asking what time Monday could I come in for a test drive. On Monday my mom and I spoke with Raven about the Terrain. She gave us the Carfax and leaves to get the vehicle for a test drive. Close to 10min goes by and she comes back and says the vehicle was sold Saturday afternoon. I told her, I was told it was still available that same Saturday night. Conveniently, the Sales Mgr walks in to talk to us. They said it was sold and tried to talk us into some vehicles outside of our price range. We ended up leaving. A few days later a friend of mine contacted the dealership and asked about the same vehicle, that I was told was already sold, and they said it was available for a test drive.

Considering other comments about fake pricing it’s hard to believe the experience we had was an “accident”. We were so excited about the van they listed, we had cash to buy it, we were looking at flight tickets to come get it, and the car sales men was very nice and helpful, but said wait for me to check prices before we buy any tickets, and right there I’m like, great here we go again. Sure enough they posted wrong both car gurus AND their website wrong by 10k! I get accidents happen but seeing a bit of a trend in the reviews, I’m not so sure. Y’all either need to fire your inventory manager or stop posting fake prices for clickbait and be honest what it really is.
