I inquired about a vehicle and immediately received a call from a salesperson who said he would try to make the deal work, although there was a small issue on my end. After that initial call, I followed up by text asking for an update on the status of the process, but I did not receive a response for three days. When he finally called back, he told me we had been approved for the loan and asked if I still wanted the car. I said yes, and he told me he would call me back if they needed anything else from us. After that conversation, he never responded to my texts or calls again. This happened on a Saturday. Two days later, I received a notification from CarGurus that the vehicle I had inquired about had already been sold. The lack of communication throughout the process was extremely frustrating and ultimately made the entire experience feel like a waste of time. It also gave the impression that my business was not valued. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this dealership.

My experience at Lexus -Monterey was fantastic. They are located a couple of hours from my home and I wasnt familiar with the area or traffic so I arrived extremely late (1 1/2 hours) . Yet apon my arrival i was warmly greeted. The Lexus I was interested in was just as they stated, just beautiful!! They had it cleaned and detailed just like it was a brand new car. Financing took less than 5 minutes. When I called to see if it was still available, Alicia took my call and answered most of my questions. She diligently researched the questions she wasnt 100%sure of and called me back with in minutes. She stayed in contact with me throughout several days regarding the Lexus 350rc. I didnt walk the lot but I did look over the vehicles inside the dealership. Wow, they were just as beautiful and amazing. The manager, Jason was so very nice, no pressure sale through out. I went to test drive a car that has been on their lot for a long time. The car was great, and I was ready to purchase. I didn’t because they were trying to make up their loss on the price drop with $4,000 in after market charges. I went to another dealership the next day and got a car with the same year, less miles and for the price I was looking for!

Not transparent. Didn’t explain unnecessary add-ons. Ran credit without asking or letting me know they were doing so. Vague estimate. Only focused on having me sign deal. Not helpful. Sneaky and reluctant to explain/help.

I sent an email and a voicemail asking for the Carfax before I was making the journey down to look at the car in person. I was never provided with the Carfax. Someone at the dealer told me they would get it put together, after asking me to come down, which I declined to do until I had the report. The Carfax report was never provided to me, and nobody ever followed up, so I’m just going to wait for another car like it from a dealership that doesn’t feel quite as sketchy.
