The condition of the used car I bought from Toyota Sunnyvale was misrepresented. My mechanic found a potentially dangerous broken part, among other issues, and the “19 point inspection and service” promised/promoted, had not been done. Had I not taken the car to be inspected the potential for a breakdown, or worse, accident, was eminent. While Toyota Sunnyvale was quick to reimburse me the money I spent on repairs, I received no apology, and the time (2 days & rental car expenses) and frustration this caused me was totally unnecessary. Unfortunately expecting honesty in today’s climate seems foolish, but, full disclosure and honesty are what I hoped for... that’s not what I got from Toyota Sunnyvale. I gave them 3 stars because they reimbursed me immediately without question (should have paid for the rental), the actual purchase process went very smoothly, and the staff were friendly and polite.

Sunnyvale Toyota was extremely helpful in trying to get me into a new Tundra Platinum. I have previously bought two vehicles from this dealership, a new Camry and a new Land Cruiser, although they are located in another city and a good 45 minute drive from where I live. My experiences here have always been positive, no excessive sales pressure, just straightforward answers to my questions and a genuine effort to help me make a good decision on the right vehicle at a fair price. I would recommend Bobby, George and Martin in new car sales at this dealership.

Was able to buy this car, it was exactly what I wanted. unfortunately, the salesperson had told me the car would be 'detailed and have a full tank of gas.' The car was 'detailed' after I arrived on Saturday, and took about 30 minutes. 30 minutes to detail a car???? Um... it wasn't even CLEAN, had to wipe down the doors myself. Vacuumed, windows cleaned, that's it. No gas in the tank, it was on fumes and a tail light was out! Shabby.

Salesman called back and said the truck was there. Made the appointment to drive up to test drive. Came up there, the salesman busy with another customer. Waited for him and found out the truck was not there. He said the dealer whole sale the truck, I wasted my time for nothing. Very upset.

I made an appointment to see the vehicle a week prior. I called and checked up on it the day before the appointment to make sure there was still a set appointment to view it, they said to come in that they have it ready. The morning of the appointment I called and left a message twice with my name and number to verify the appointment, no answer. Silly me I drove about 2 hours to come check out the car for the girl that made the appointment to tell me "oh I saw the car this morning, it shows on the computer that it was sent out for a saftey inspection today." Overall a terrible experience, I would never recommend.

Went back an forth from text to email. Didnt answer calls. Finally when all said an done I emailed an asked when would be a good time to see car. No reply after that. No reply to tell me car was just sold. Very terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

Had to go back three times to ultimately close the deal. Each time I was there there was nobody from the 'finance department' to process the paper work. After waiting 45 mins the first time I left and returned the next morning at 9am to be told that it would be after 10-30 before someone from finance could process me. On the third attempt on a Saturday morning I was finally processed after a 30 min+ wait. Not very respectful of my time at all.

Dealer called,confirmed the car was there and said they would have it pulled up. We headed that way, 30 minutes into the drive they called and said the car was sent to a whole sale auction. Very disappointing

Basically a waste of time. Cheesy used car dealer tricks and excuses. The guy actually tried to get me to believe that a check engine light could be caused by getting the car washed. Unbelievable. Hopefully I lost my afternoon so you don't have to. Take your business elsewhere.

I had an appointment to see this car. We drove over an hour and a half on a Friday night to get there at 7:30. When we arrived, the salesperson was searching the lot and couldn't find the car. It turned out an employee had driven another customer home in the car I drove out there to go see. The salesman Raj said, well they're not coming back tonight. He did absolutely nothing to make it right, no apologies, Nothing! At that point, my temper had flared, I had made arrangements for my kids to be babysat, I work for Social Services and had a long week, and I was ready to buy that car. Needless to say, we left, and I got an even better deal the next day at another dealership, and a better car. Because I already had my financial ducks in a row, once I selected the car at the other dealership, I was in and out in 1 1/2 hours. Don't judge a book by its cover, I had money, and I was ready to buy! I've told all of my family and friends to stay away from Sunnyvale Toyota! That was just bad customer service. They had the audacity to text me the following Monday asking if I'm still interested in a car and that they promised the car would be there and the trip not wasted. They were a day late and a dollar short! Shame on them for not making it right that night!

Where do I start? First, the color that I wanted wasn't available even though it was in the listing. At first they were nice and would smile a lot but boy what a hassle to purchase it. They wanted me to buy the GAP insurance and I told them I didn't want that insurance, as splendid as it sounded I didn't want it. They made us wait 3 hours until we could close a deal. And then they kept bringing in another and another person. It was the insurance guy who actually helped us and he was the one who closed the deal not the people in finance. It's just not worth the hassle. If I hadn't asked for my day and if it wasn't 100 miles away from home, I would have just shopped anywhere else. Really bad experience. Would not recommend to anyone I like, would however, someone who I don't like.

Excellent customer service! Very fast response to my inquiry, we were able to see the car right away. James W was very helpful and made us feel welcome during our first visit. Even though that car was not exactly what we wanted, he spent time to understand our needs and followed up with me later with other options that matched what we wanted. We were connected with the wonderful JuneMarie who was also great to work with and helped us get exactly what we wanted! The experience was very good. They even have a kids play area and super comfortable waiting area. I highly recommend this dealership!

They were great! Super friendly, no b/s very honest and fair when it came to pricing. All of the dealers in my area priced their cars way over MSRP, so I drove 2 hours away to Sunnyvale and got a great deal, I would definitely come back here for future business.

Although we did not purchase the vehicle from Toyota of Sunnyvale, it was not from lack of enthusiasm on their part. I contacted Toyota of Sunnyvale through the CarGurus web site. I received a response from James Woolston in short amount of time. James was courteous, friendly and willing to help. Toyota of Sunnyvale is over 30 miles from where we live. We purchased a vehicle from a private party that was located nearby which is the only reason we did not follow-through with Toyota of Sunnyvale.

After driving an hour to the dealership the salesperson called my cell to tell me she was off work knowing I was on my way there. When I finally did get someone to show me the car,the check Engine light was on and there is damage of paint chipped away,scuffs on the rims and holes in the roof. After all that to be told by management we can't sell you this car because the check engine light is on. This was last weekend and yet it is for sale on cargurus.com!!! Buyer beware

This was a great experience. Just the specs I wanted and a good price and great trade-in. Flora my salesperson was responsive and helpful, as were Daniel in finance. Jorge answered a lot of questions on the day we picked up- great team, they worked together well. I recommend them!

They are really serious with their slogan. I got a used Toyota Sienna, and it is really a good deal. I'm very satisfied with the car I got, it fits what I was looking for mileage and the price.

The dealer had a good deal posted on a Toyota highlander. Then when I got the car fax, the mileage did not match (off by 30%), and the way the numbers were written it was not just a transposition. When I asked them what was going on, via email I got no further responses. I think Car Gurus should audit these guys to see if it is a standard practice so their cars hit the top of the list. It is not the first time I have had this type of experience with them.

Car needed a couple 1000 dollars worth of work. after the car was checked out by a mechanic the dealer said we only fix things on expensive cars and we only do a minimum inspection even know they ever ties

Becareful of these characters. They sold me a BMW Z4 that they knew had been in a wreck but didnt show on the CARFAX. There was lots of front end damage that was found. I took the car back and was refunded my money

We loved it here. This is where we bought our car, the one we saw on CarGurus. They are low pressure. They went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I am going back this week to look for a car for my son.
