I liked the dealership and the people and definitely wanted to buy this truck, but on the test drive, I discovered that the sychro on the manual transmission's third gear was not working properly, and only once allowed me to shift directly and smoothly into 3rd gear. The other times, my shift in was kicked out by the transmission. I am a license Over-the-Road Driver of 18 wheelers and one of my own personal trucks has a manual transmission. So it's not that I do not know how to operate a manual transmission. The dealership offered to come down significantly in price, but in researching this problem, I saw that the minimum fix would be $1500, the probable fix would be around $3800 and the high end fix would be between $5400 and $8000. This was after consulting with several specialty shops. So I just could not risk buying it, even with a price reduction of $1500.
