Tried to add $5500 in fees excluding doc and taxes.

I went to this dealership to purcahse a 2021 Mazda3 Hatchback on March 7th, 2025. The service and communication from top to bottom was excellent. I live 2.5ish hours away in WI so clear and honest communication was what I needed, and it's exactly what I got thanks to my salesman, Carlos. On my first visit there, I was planning to just check out the car, test drive it and make sure everything was as it should be. We accomplished that, got the car funded through their financing department at a very fair rate which I was happy to do, got all of the papers signed and I was back on the road home in under 3 hours. I picked the car up on the 14th as that's when I had time and drove home happy and completely content with both the car and dealer experience. At no point were there any games played, no time wasted and everyone was very helpful but most importantly honest. Price advertised on cargurus website does not exist. Dealer combines all possible incentives from all sources. Some of those incentives were mutually exclusive from each other.

No flexibility on prices. Price set in stone, even when Cargurus states it is only a fair value.

I went to Castle Hyundai of Downers Grove expecting honesty and transparency. Instead, I experienced blatant misrepresentation. The sales staff assured me that the vehicle was a “non-smoker car.” That statement turned out to be completely false. The moment I spent time inside the car, the strong smell of cigarette smoke was obvious. It wasn’t faint or questionable; it was clearly a vehicle that had been smoked in. Either the dealership failed to inspect the vehicle properly, or they knowingly lied just to make a sale. When you are spending thousands of dollars on a car, honesty about something as basic as the condition of the interior should not be optional. The smell of smoke is extremely difficult to remove and significantly affects the value and enjoyment of the vehicle. Misrepresenting something so obvious shows a serious lack of integrity. This experience left me feeling that the dealership is more focused on closing deals than being truthful with customers.

Very flexible to my questions

Tried to get me to do two notes! I won’t return again! I owed $11,000 on my Chrysler 300C. The salesman advised me that their bank would not add $11,000 onto another car, BUT I could take out a note on another car. That was not my intention when I came to the dealer. I found a 2017 Chevy Equinox for $5,000 and purchased it.
