Ford dealerships near me (Greenville, TX)

I am spending more than $20k on a car listed as $15k and thats with $2'500 down. Plus they hid 2 windshield chips, blown out speaker, and a broken tailgate handle. The car shakes after hitting 6th gear. They are rude and put lots of pressure on the buyer. Stereotypical sleezy salesmen.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE PRICE THAT YOU SEE ON CARGURUS FOR PLATINUM FORD - TERRELL, TX. Probably the worst experience I have ever had inquiring about vehicle. I will never do business w/Platinum and would encourage no one to ever do business with them either or that of their mothership - Gilchrist. Bottomline, they do not honor their published pricing. Nothing different than a scam. They quoted $87K on Sunday, Monday on their website the price was $90K (still $87K on CarGurus) and my price was $95K since I would not trade in or finance with them. Oh, and since I live 30 miles away, I am not their target market? Go elsewhere to buy your vehicle and avoid Platinum Ford Terrell ad any other Gilchrist dealership!!!!

The truck was available and the price was fair. It was a loaner so that made it especially attractive. Talked with the salesman on a Monday and made plans to go see it Wednesday because the salesman was off Tuesday. Would have put money down to hold the truck and they sold it before I could get there Wednesday. Nice guy but not good on the communication part.

Here is the game. The price advertised is not the price. You think maybe I could haggle down a bit, worst case I pay the advertised price. WRONG. They require (and I mean REQUIRE, I asked 50 times can I pay the advertised price and was told they will not remove dealer add ons) you to also purchase thousands of meaningless little warranties (door dings, nitrogen in tires, fabric spray). Advertised price in my case was 34695. Taxes Title and fees are about 1300 so I expected just under 36000. They said out the door is 41000 and change. They then “helped” me by reducing the dealer add ons down to 2000 so 38000. I asked if we can just remove them all and they said we cannot remove dealer add ons

Hmthey had the vehicle I was looking for at a great price. Car buying experience was best I’ve ever had, very quick and efficient. Shout out to Shine my sales guy!

It was an enquiry. Charles Washington was very responsive, sent pictures and a video and followed up. Ended up purchasing in Houston, a little closer to me.
