Good but we couldn’t make a deal

Car we drove an hour to purchase sold the day before and we were not notified. Chose another vehicle and was there for several hours waiting on financing department to give approval. Had all documentation with proof of insurance, but wanted so much more including providing a savings account that was never asked for and non of their business. Purchased another vehicle or more money, lesser monthly payments and no hassle.

They listed the car for $47,044. When I called they wanted 10k more than the listing price. They’re taking advantage of the market when it comes to this car. I understand, that’s their choice but I’d rather do business with a dealer that honors the price they list the car for. It’s bait and switch to list the car for one price, then when you call to inquire they demand way more than MSRP. I’d be ready to sign if they wanted to sell the car for MSRP, 10k over is outrageous.
