Lexus hasn’t always been known for making the most striking, exciting cars around, but the LC breaks that mold. Its sweeping body lines and stunning interior set it apart from anything else on the market, and it sports a strong V8 engine with a pleasing sound. It’s not the highest-performing car in its class, but the LC’s styling and exhaust note are enough to make anyone forget about acceleration.

What’s New for the 2026 Lexus LC
Lexus debuted a new limited-edition Inspiration Series model for the 2026 LC convertible. Limited to 350 units, it offers unique interior elements and black exterior trim, and it carries a price premium over the regular convertible.
Design
The two-door LC, available in coupe and convertible configurations, features a long hood and a swept-back profile. Lexus offers a range of interesting color options, and the car is available with a few wheel designs, depending on the trim. The car lacks most badging, with the only logos being the two Lexus badges on the front and rear and a small LC badge on the rear bumper.
Powertrain
The LC’s powertrain was unchanged for 2026. It remains the 5.0-liter V8, making 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD). The Lexus LC Hybrid was discontinued. While it’s not the quickest car in its class, the LC manages a 4.6-second zero-60-mph time, and it’s more than able to handle a few curves in the road. At the same time, the V8 engine’s refined, smooth performance pairs nicely with the LC’s surprisingly capable suspension system to create an engaging but comfortable driving experience.

Interior
Lexus advertises the LC as a four-seater, but the back seats are too small for all but younger children, and they can be a hassle even then. Leather upholstery comes standard, along with heated and ventilated front seats. Semi-aniline leather upholstery is available, and Lexus offers suede inserts and a suede headliner in some configurations.
Technology
The 2026 LC comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, navigation, a 12-speaker stereo, and more. A 13-speaker Mark Levinson stereo is available, but the base audio system is more than loud enough for most people. Lexus’s latest infotainment system is much improved over previous versions, offering a more intuitive and responsive interface and a more visually pleasing design overall.
Safety
The 2026 Lexus LC hasn’t been crash-tested by either major safety organization yet, but it comes equipped with a good number of standard driver-assistance features. They include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, automatic high beams, parking sensors, pedestrian detection, and lane-keep assist. A head-up display is available.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, pricing for the 2026 Lexus LC starts at $101,700 for the coupe and 109,200 for the convertible. Those prices include a $1,350 destination charge. The new Inspiration Series costs $121,250, and buyers can opt for the Bespoke model for $105,300, which brings custom color and configuration options.
