Introduced for the 2023 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq was the brand’s first all-electric vehicle, and sits in the midsize luxury electric crossover segment. The Lyriq’s primary competitors include the BMW iX, the Mercedes-Benz EQE, and the Audi Q8 e-tron, and the 2026 model has six trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, Premium Sport, Signature Luxury, and Signature Sport.

What’s New for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq
The Cadillac Lyriq is just three years old so it’s not quite ready for a mid-cycle refresh, but it has received some significant available tech features for the 2026 model year. First, the standard Super Cruise driver-assistance system gets new enhancements, which include hands-on functionality, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and improved integration with Google Maps. Next, there is a newly available dual-plane augmented reality (AR) head-up display, which showcases real-time navigation, speed, and driver-assistance cues in full color. Finally, there is a newly available 23-speaker AKG Studio premium audio system with Dolby Atmos. Beyond tech updates, there are two new available packages—the Onyx Package and the Radiant Package, both featuring 22-inch wheels.
Design
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq features a standard illuminating front grille and emblem with choreographed lighting. It has long, lean, wagon-esque lines, flush door handles, and elegant chrome exterior accents. All trims have an available black roof option as well as Blue, Bronze, and Red Accent Packages. The Luxury trims all offer a Radiant package with silver wheel center caps, perimeter illumination, and 22-inch reverse rim alloy wheels with a satin graphite finish. The Sport trims come with the Onyx Package with obsidian chrome mirror caps, black wheel center caps, and 22-inch all-season self-sealing, low-profile tires. Standard wheels are 20 inches, with 22-inch wheels available on the bottom four trims. The 22-inch wheels are standard on both Signature trims.
Powertrain
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq comes standard as a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) vehicle that delivers 365 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) option is available on all trims, and delivers 515 hp and 450 pound-feet of torque. The RWD models get up to 326 miles of electric range, and AWD models up to 319 miles. AWD models also boast a maximum tow rating of 3,500 pounds. Cadillac says it should be possible to get from 10% to 80% of a charge in about 40 minutes at a public DC fast charger. Even though General Motors has committed to converting its electric vehicles to the North American Charging Standard (NACS), the 2026 Lyriq still comes equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) charge port as standard, and a NACS DC Adapter is a $275 option.

Interior
The Cadillac Lyriq is a two-row, midsize crossover that will seat five passengers, with 39.6 inches of rear legroom. It offers 28 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat and 60.8 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity with the rear seats folded. Synthetic leather upholstery is standard, as are heated front seats, while full leather seat upholstery is only available with the top Signature trims. The 2026 Lyriq has a standard fixed glass roof with a power sunshade, and a panoramic power sunroof is available.
Technology
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq has a huge 33-inch advanced LED display that encompasses both the gauge cluster and the infotainment system. Google built-in is the standard operating system, and the 2026 Lyriq also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard tech features include a seven-speaker audio system, Super Cruise, five USB ports, wireless phone charging, and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. A 23-speaker AKG Studio premium audio system with Dolby Atmos is available. Other available tech features include a 110-volt power outlet, tri-zone climate control, massaging seats, illuminated front door sill plates, active noise cancellation, and power-folding rear seats.
Safety
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq comes packed with standard safety tech, including a forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear pedestrian alerts, blind-spot monitors, automatic reverse braking, a surround-view camera system, rear cross-traffic alert and braking, hands-free park assist, and high-beam assist. In fact, the only real optional safety features are an interior movement sensor and an inclination sensor. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives the 2026 Lyriq an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gives it Good ratings in all its crash tests. It only misses an IIHS Top Safety Pick award because the headlights are rated Poor.
