What’s New for the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ
The Escalade IQ is only in its second year on sale, so it enters the 2026 model year unchanged. That said, Cadillac revealed a new IQL model with a longer wheelbase that brings more passenger and cargo space. It also features a 12.2 cubic-foot front trunk (frunk), which is more than most other vehicles.
Design
While the Escalade IQ is immediately recognizable as a Cadillac Escalade, it’s sleeker and more futuristic looking than its gas counterpart. Cadillac equips unique front lighting elements, and the SUV features a large closed-off grille. The IQ is available with a few wheel designs, with sizes reaching 24 inches.
Powertrain
The Escalade IQ’s electric powertrain produces a staggering 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in its most aggressive drive mode setting, which enables a 4.7-second 0-60 mph time. Cadillac claims a 460-mile range for the SUV and notes that it can fast-charge, adding 116 miles of range in 10 minutes. Towing reaches 7,500 pounds with the right equipment, and Cadillac equips Magnetic Ride Control and adaptive air suspension as standard.
Interior
Cadillac offers an Executive Second Row package that adds stowable tray tables and dual 12.6-inch screens. The second-row seats also gain a touch-based control panel, dual wireless charging pads, and heated/ventilated/massaging functions. Standard interior features incude a panoramic glass roof, ambient interior lighting with 126 colors, and more. Two interior color themes are available, including black on black and light gray. Power-folding second-row seats are also standard, making it much easier to access the spacious third-row seats. Cadillac offers a range of accessories for the IQ, including cargo organizers, all-weather protection, and window shades.
Technology
Screens have long been the Escalade’s “thing,” and the new IQ doesn’t break that mold. It features a total of 55 inches of diagonal screen space, including a center touchscreen, digital gauge cluster, and passenger-side display. A separate display panel handles vehicle controls, and Cadillac equips a 21-speaker stereo as standard. Two AKG stereo upgrades are available, including 38- and 42-speaker systems.
Safety
Neither the 2026 Escalade IQ nor the IQL have been crash-tested yet, but Cadillac is generous with advanced driver-assistance tech. They include automatic parking assistance, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, an HD surround-view camera system, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warnings, automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers, parking sensors, and more. Super Cruise is standard, which enables hands-free driving on highways and other limited-access roads.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $129,795, which includes a hefty $2,390 destination fee. Pricing for the new Escalade IQL starts at $154,220.
