Three-row family haulers aren’t always the most exciting vehicles around, but many automakers have figured out how to spice the format up a bit. The Audi SQ7 does just that, bringing a turbocharged V8 engine and upgraded suspension to put its prodigious power output to the ground.

What’s New for the 2026 Audi SQ7
Audi gave the SQ7 a mid-cycle refresh for the 2026 model year, which includes new front and rear styling with OLED taillights and an LED lightbar, new package options, and revised interior finishes.
Design
Audi’s new Q7 is more muscular and slightly boxier than previous iterations. The SUV is available with a wide range of wheel choices, depending on the trim and package, and the new taillight design features OLED lights and a connected light bar. Some packages offer unique badges and styling accents, including black badges with illuminated Audi logos.
Powertrain
While the base Q7 is available with two powertrain choices, the SQ7 comes with just one. It’s a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, making 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Power reaches all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. That combination is good for a sub-four-second zero-to-60-mph time, a blistering speed for a three-row SUV. The SQ7 also maintains a decent ride quality in most situations, even with its sport-tuned suspension and large wheels. Adaptive air suspension is standard.

Interior
The SQ7 still offers seven seats across three rows. It comes standard with Valcona leather upholstery, heated front seats, and more. Available features include ventilated and massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, and second-row sunshades. Cargo space is average, at 14.2 cubic feet behind the third-row seats and up to 69.6 cubic feet with the back two rows folded flat. Audi also equips a standard power liftgate.
Technology
The SQ7 comes with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a dual-screen infotainment system with a 10.1-inch upper display and an 8.6-inch lower touchscreen. The system is packed with features, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, navigation, SiriusXM radio, and more. While it offers a range of desirable features, the dual-screen setup is confusing and can be difficult to use at first.
Safety
The 2026 Audi SQ7 is too new to have received full crash-test results from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but it comes well-equipped with driver-assistance tech. The list includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, pedestrian detection, and more. Higher trims add a night-vision assistance system, a head-up display, automated parking assistance, and more.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2026 Audi SQ7 starts at $95,095, which includes a $1,295 destination charge. That’s a significant upcharge over the base Q7, which starts at $63,295, though it becomes more expensive with options and powertrain upgrades. All versions of the 2026 Audi SQ7 and Q7 are available now.
