What’s New for the 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre
The Rolls-Royce Spectre recently debuted for the 2024 model year, so it’s still really new, considering most people probably haven’t seen one before. Yet, for those with a more elite itch to scratch, the Spectre is now available in a Black Badge edition that adds 73 horsepower, and about $70,000, to the bottom line.
Design
The Spectre is a two-door coupe (though it might as well be a sedan) with massive, rear-hinged doors that offer easy access to the swanky four-seat cabin. It’s low and swoopy, with a long hood and substantial rear haunches. Traditional squared-off lighting makes an elegant contrast to the smooth and flowing body lines, front and rear. In a nod to the Spectre’s EV powertrain, it wears a more modern and aerodynamic version of the brand’s signature “Spirit of Ecstasy” hour ornament. The Spectre is available with a variety of wheel designs in the 23-inch range, and can be painted in basically any color, or color combination, you can imagine.
Powertrain
The Rolls-Royce Spectre features a dual-motor powertrain that provides standard all-wheel drive. In base form, combined power is 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, while the new Black Badge version is rated for 650 horsepower and 793 pound-feet of torque. An adaptive air suspension system keeps the hefty Spectre planted, and a retuned steering system improves feedback and weighting. The Spectre borrows BMW’s charging technology, with a 102.0-kWh battery, an 11-kW onboard charger, and standard DC fast-charging. With 22-inch wheels, the Spectre is estimated for 291 miles of range; with 23-inch wheels, that drops to 266 miles.

Interior
The Rolls-Royce Spectre’s rear-hinged doors open wide to allow access to both rows, with a pair of bucket seats in each. If you’re lucky enough to be familiar with the typical Rolls wide-open, airy cabin, you’ll feel right at home in the Spectre, especially if you indulge in the bespoke interior options, which offer everything from upholstery type and color, to carpet type and color, to stitching type and color. One cool, Spectre-specific detail is that the illumination of the Rolls-Royce headliner, designed to evoke the feel of a starry night sky, trickles down to the door panels for an immersive effect.
Technology
The Spectre features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. There’s also a 12.3-inch configurable digital display. Fairly basic, yes, but it’s elegantly integrated into the extremely expensive dashboard. The standout here is a 16-speaker audio system that fills the otherwise silent cabin with luscious sound.
Safety
The 2025 Spectre comes standard with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, and steering assist. The Rolls-Royce Spectre has not been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which is typical for luxury cars that cost nearly half a million dollars.

Pricing and Release Date
The 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre is available now. As of this writing, pricing for this Rolls-Royce starts at about $398,000, or the Black Badge for $467,750. Rolls-Royce includes destination charges, about $2,700, in the car’s price. It’s hefty, but won’t be a deal-breaker for this car’s intended audience. In fact, most Spectre customers will likely spend tens of thousands more on bespoke options. If you’re willing to pay for it, Rolls-Royce will make it happen.
